Newcomers Nigd Bank reclaimed the top spot while Dire Dawa got a huge win to their relief in the last day action of game week 7 where imports from abroad run the show for their respective sides.

In what was a very cagey first half Shashemene under Zemariam W/Giyorgis’s new management put on a very resolute defensive display while Ethiopia Nigd Bank’s rushed offensive display forced the half a less pleasing one.
After a dull first half things came alive in the second half with both sides trying to step up their game, with that being said Ethiopia Niged Bank opened the scoring in the 60th minute through their Ghanian import Basiru Umar but 11 minutes later Ugandan Alan Kayiwa leveled Shashemene from the spot.
With the final whistle fast approaching the second half substitute Simon Peter netted his second goal of the campaign to hand his side a crucial three points.
