Shashemene Ketema left empty handed yet again after an impressive display while Shemeles Bekele’s brace was enough for Mechal to edge Hambericho.
The early kickoff saw ruthless Hadiya Hossana outsmart dominant Shashemene Ketema 3-1.
As seen in recent weeks Shashemene Ketema who are in pursuit of survival had in the upper in the early exchanges creating couple of good scoring chances but as a matter of fact they couldn’t do so.
Instead Hadiya Hossana who were very cautious in their approach open the deadlock to the surprise of many, Temesgen Birhanu who was played through by Dawa Hotessa made a great solo run and converted awkwardly to put his side ahead.
And yet again just before half time Temesgen Birhanu scored the second goal for his side in a half were Hadiya were by far the second best team on the pitch.
After the restart Shashemene began on top and find a goal back through Gezahegne Desalegne who is on loan from Ethiopia Bunna but they were unable to create a momentum as Hadiya Hossana find it easy to cool their nerves.
Hadiya were in total control of the game in the last 25 minutes with a better desire to win and in 84th minute Desta Wamisho netted the all important third goal to seal a 3-1 victory for his side.
Hadiya Hossana now back to wining ways after three games have now 34 points and leapfrog Hawassa to move into 9th place while still three points away from 14th place are still on 15th place with 13 points.
In the late kickoff title hopeful Mechal edge past relegation threatened Hambericho 2-0.
In what was a very tricky encounter for Mechal goals in quick succesion after the restart from the vetran Shemeles Bekele made the diffrence for Mechal who remained 2nd on 47 points three points shy of Ethiopia Nigd Bank while Hambericho who are on the brink of being relegated are 16th with 8 points.
