On the Ethiopian National League Competition held at the city of Dire Dawa Hossana Kenema finished runner-ups. Hossana will take part in the forthcoming 2015/16 Ethiopian Premier League season. So, the club is preoccupied with extending the contracts of its star players and signing new players.
The longest serving Hossana Kenema head coach Girma Tadesse told Soccer Ethiopia about the intension of the club on the transfer window.
“We are working on to bring some new faces but basically we focused on keeping our star players. A number of top flight clubs are showing interest in signing our star players. Those clubs are putting a large sum of money to allure them. Therefore, we want the team to stay together. We held discussion with some players and they decided to stay with us. We hope to extend the contracts of other players in the coming day.” said Girma.
The coach added the club is also in work to bring experienced players that played in the Premier league. “We cannot afford to compete in the Premier league with players at our disposal. So, we want to add some experienced and suitable players that can get along with our system. In the next few days we expect to sign 3 players.”
