The opening day fixture saw both fixtures ending in a draw.
The opening fixture of game week 24 saw the highly anticipated derby between neighboring Fasil Kenema and Bahir Dar Ketema ending in a stalemate.
In what was an evenly contested game of football defensive blunders were abundant in the first half but neither failed to capitalize resulting to the repeat of the reverse fixture’s result.
The draw left both sides where they started off as Bahir Dar remain 3rd with 41 points while Fasil Kenema 6th with 37 points.

In a match decided by center back it was Adama Ketema who took the lead in the 79th minute through Fikru Alemayehu but Dire Dawa Ketema find a late equalizer through Eyasu Legesse.
Following todays draw Adama are 5th with 38 points while Dire Dawa are 8th with 34 points.
