Match Day 18 of the BetKing Ethiopian Premier League saw Hawassa Ketema grab a win against Adama Ketema who were playing on home soil. The second game ended in a 1-1 draw as Ethio Electric and Wolaitta Dicha shared the spoils.
Abdulbaset Kemal’s goal in the 30th minute gave Hawassa Ketema the lead and the sides went into the dressing room separated only by a single goal. Hawassa managed to add to their tally in the second half as Abenezer Ote found the back of the net in the 50th minute to seal all three points.
Following the victory Hawassa reached 28 points and manage to rise to fourth place in the table. Adama Ketema are 8th with 24 points.
Ethio Electric faced Wolaitta Dicha in desperate need of three points as they keep languishing in the relegation zone but they can only get a point from the game.
It was Wolaitta Dicha who opened the scoring through Kalkidan Zelalem in the 29th minute. Ethio Electric managed to come back into the game after the break as they equalized in the second half through Lidetu Lemma.
Wolaitta Dicha sit in 10th place with 23 points while Ethio Electric are second bottom with only 9 points to their name.
