Third day action of game week 26 saw Dire Dawa clinch a valuable three points while the highly anticipated match between Wolaita Dicha and Sidama Bunna was abandoned.
In the early kickoff Dire Dawa Ketema beat Fasil Kenema 2-1 to clinch all the three points in their quest to avoid the relegation battel.
Goals in each half from Abduletif Mohammed and Charles Musige were enough for Asrat Abate’s men who registered back to back wins while Shemket Gugsa scored from the spot kick for Fasil Kenema.
The win means Dire are now back in top half of the log residing 6th with 36 points while Fasil remain 4th with 37 points.
In the highly anticipated late kickoff between Sidama Bunna and Wolaita Dicha was forced to be called off in the second half after a heavy shower forced the pitch to be water clogged.
The match witnessed a huge fans turnout leading the Hawassa University stadium full to the rafters, the remaining 45 minutes of the match will be held tomorrow at 1pm.
