The last day actions of game week three witnessed two entertaining fixtures ending in a draw.
In the early kickoff, Hambericho earned their first ever point in top flight football as they split points with Adama Ketema.
Coach Yetagesu Endale made a couple of changes from the Adama side that won against Wolaita Dicha. The changes saw William Solomon and Abdisa Jemal in from the start. While ex Adama Ketema assistant who is now in charge of Hambericho Degu Dubamo also made two changes as goalie Paluma Poje and striker Dagim Bekele were given a start.
In what was a very balanced encounter Adama took the lead early as returning Abdisa Jemal opened the scoring in the 6th minute but six minutes later Befekadu Asresahegne levelled matters for Hambericho.
After the restart, it was Hambericho’s turn to take the lead as on form Dagim Bekele netted for the second week running to put his side ahead but Adama Ketema backed by their supporters went on to grab the equalizing goal 13 minutes from time through Yosef Tarekegne who was back in match day after missing his sides last game through disciplinary issues.
The draw meant newly promoted Hambericho registered their first ever point in the topflight in their third attempt while unbeaten Adama Ketema have now five points in the log.
In what was a mouthwatering clash of the week Ethiopia Bunna and Bahir Dar Ketema played out a two all draw.
Both sides named an unchanged side from their respective win in game week 2.
The match lived up to the prematch hype as of the onset as both sides left everything on the pitch to earn all the three points. The action packed game witnessed end to end action, chance after chance, and a very lively contest.
The match really came to life in the added minutes of the first half as lighting struck twice, Ethiopia Bunna opened the deadlock in the first minute of the added time through Chala Teshita but a minute later Bahir Dar’s marquee signing of the summer Cherent Guggsa leveled matters for the wave of tana.
After the restart Ethiopia Bunna took the lead just three minutes in as Biruk Beyene once again gave Ethiopia Bunna the edge.
But in the 68th minute, Futsum Tilahun who was brought up in Ethiopia Bunna’s youth ranks came down to hunt his former employees as he found the back of the net for Bahir Dar Ketema.
The 2-2 result meant Ethiopia Bunna are now on seven points residing second spot in the log while Bahir Dar Ketema who are making the headlines these days for the wrong reasons collected their fourth point of the campaign
