Third day action of game week 12 saw Dire Dawa earning a historic win over Kidus Giorgis while also Hambericho finally got all three points in the top flight.
In the 3 pm kickoff, Dire Dawa Ketema against all the odds stuns Kidus Giorgis 3-0.
Dire Dawa who parted ways with their head coach Asrat Abate days ago had Shemeles Abebe in the dugout for the very first time were rejuvenated from the get go and opened the scoring through one of the quickest goals of the campaign, Efream Ashamo’s weak strike was converted into goal aided by Fasil G/Micheal’s hauler.

Following today’s massive three points Dire Dawa moved into 10th place with 14 points while Kidus Giorgis end the week where they began in 3rd place with 21 points.
While in the late kickoff, Hambericho finally grabbed their first win in the top flight courtesy of a second half brace from Bereket Wondimu.
The win is expected to be a huge moral booster for Hambericho in their quest for survival as they increased their point tally to 6 points sitting at the tail of the log.
