Ethiopia Nigd Bank and Kidus Giogis ran away with all three points on the second day action of game week 15.
In what was the 3 pm kickoff Kidus Giorgis edge Sidama Bunna 1-0 courtesy of a solitary goal from Amanuel Terfu.
Both halves were of less footballing spectacle as chances were far few but in the 53rd minute, Amanuel Terfu headed home from Henok Adunga’s superb delivery to earn his side the much needed three points going into the second round.
The win made Kidus Giorgis reclaim the 3rd spot with 28 points going into the break while Sidama Bunna remained 10th with 18 points.
In the late kickoff that saw a six goal thriller Ethiopia Nigd Bank ran out 4-2 winners against Fasil Kenema.
In what an action packed first half Amanuel G/Michael gave Fasil the early breakthrough but the man of the moment Addis Gidey leveled matters in the 27th minute. It took Fasil 11 minutes to regain the lead as they strike home through Shemeket Gugsa, with the attacking momentum shifting here and there Caleb Amankwa once again leveled Niged Bank just before halftime.
The second half was more of a cagey one but Nigd Bank find a way to take the lead as second half substitute Biniyam Getachew found the back of the net just 10 minutes in and then teenager Dawit Yohannes added another in the added minutes to wrap the match in Nigd Banks favor.
The win saw Ethiopia Nigd Bank reclaiming the top spot with 34 points whereas Fasil Kenema are 5th with 23 points.
