Mekelle 70 Enderta started signing players
Just days after confirming head coach Getachew Dawit, Mekelle 70 Enderta are now on the verge of securing their first reinforcements of the transfer window. After renewing Kennedy Gebre-Tsadik’s contract, they are finalizing deals to bring in right-back Suleiman Hamid, versatile defender Mahari Ameha (formerly with Soloda Adwa), full-back Asegachen Petros, and midfielder Abdi Wabela.
Ivorian Defender Renews Contract with Hadiya Hossana
Hadiya Hossana continues to strengthen its squad. Ethiopia Bunna Secures Star Defender
Ethiopia Bunna has renewed the contract of one of the league’s top defenders, Ramkel Names for an additional two years. The defender, who began his career in his hometown of Gambella, has been a central figure for the club since joining three years ago from Gulele Sub city. In the past season, Ramkel was a dominant force on the field, playing 2,655 minutes across 30 matches. His exceptional performance led to his nomination as one of the five finalists for the 2017 “Player of the Year” award.
Sheger City Signs Versatile Defender
Sheger City continues to make a strong statement in the transfer market as the new Premier league club officially announcing the signing of versatile defender Gezahegn Dessalegn.
Former Ethiopia Bunna defender Dessalegn previously played for Shashemene on loan and once called for Ethiopian national team on Wubetu Abate’s tennure. He will now join coach Ashenafi’s new club as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Champions Secure Two Key Signings Ahead of the new Season
Currently finalizing their preparations in Adama for their maiden CAF Champions league campain, Ethiopia Medin have strengthened their squad with two notable additions. After securing the service of Gebremedhin Haile, the club has extended contracts for five of its key players and introduced three fresh signings. Now, they have further boosted their ranks by bringing in goalkeeper Bekalu Adugna and striker Amanuel Erbo.
Amanuel arrives in Medin after two successful years with St George where he played 30 matches and scoring seven goals in yhe last campaign. His consistent contributions in attack have earned him a one-year contract with Medin, where he is expected to bring sharpness and firepower to the frontline.
Bekalu, who enjoyed a standout season with Soloda Adawa in the Higher League, has steadily risen from the youth side to the senior team in Adama. He has now penned a two-year deal with Ethiopia Medin, adding reliability between the posts.
Mechal Add two more players to their staked squad
As they continue to strengthen under head coach Mulugeta Mihret, Mechal have confirmed the signing of midfielder Chalachew Menberu and defender Mesay Paulos.
Chalachew, formerly at Ethiopia Medhin and Shashemene, had impressive spell last season with Adama, while Mesay who previously featured for Hawassa, Sebeta, Dire Dawa, and Wolkite makes his return to the Premier League after a year away.

Ethiopia’s flag bearer in the CAF Confederation Cup, Wolaitta Dicha have confirmed that prolific forward Carlos Damtaw has signed a two-year contract extension.
Carlos was the integral part of the team featuring in 32 matches, logging 2,524 minutes and scoring seven goals, making him the club’s top scorer. Despite interest from several teams, he has committed his future to the bees of Tona. Much delight to the fans as he is one of the most loved player since he joned the club.
St. George signes Three New Players
Under head coach Fasil Tekalign the Horsemen have continued to reinforce their squad for the new season. After extending striker Tegenu Teshome and securing forward Buay Kewet, the club has now added three fresh faces.
Midfielder Abebayehu Yohannes joins from Ethio Electric, defender Mesafint Paulos, and center-back Teumelissan Hailemichael, formerly with Sebhul Shire, also comes on board.

Dire Dawa Ketema have completed their fourth signing of the window. After adding Redwan Sherif, Jaafar Mudessir, and Yabsira Mulugeta and extending Abel Asebe’s contract, the club have now landed forward Abel Negash. The striker, who rose from Mechal’s youth ranks to play for Addis Ababa Ketema and Wolkite, rejoins the league after two seasons and has signed a two-year contract.

Welwalo AU. continue their active transfer business. The club already agreed terms to sign Frew Solomon, Beyene Banja, and Ibrahim Mohammed, and now secured the defender Frezer Kassa, last season Higher league top scorer Getnet Tesfaye, and their former player Semere Haftay.
Mignot will stay at Fasil Kenema
Fasil Kenema have agreed a contract renewal with experienced defender Mignot Debebe. The former Dedebit, Adama, Hawassa, and St. George defender spent the last two seasons with the Emperors, featured in 32 matches (2,880 minutes) last season. After renewing goalkeeper Moyes Powoti and Natnael Woldegiorgis earlier, Fasil have now secured Mignot for another year, meaning he will continue with the club untill the end of 2025/26 season.
