The Dire Cup, organized by the renowned Ethiopian sportswear brand Gofere, has concluded with Dire Dawa Ketema crowned as champions.
The 10-day tournament kicked off on October 3 and brought together five clubs. Dire Dawa, Wolwalo AU, and Dire Selection represented Ethiopia, while Djibouti Telecom and Republican Guard took part from Djibouti.
Played in a single round-robin format, the competition wrapped up today with decisive final matches. Djibouti Telecom edged Republican Guard 4–3 to claim second place, while Dire Dawa City sealed the title with a 1–0 victory over Wolwalo AU.
After four games each, the final standings were as follows:
1. Dire Dawa Ketema – 10 points (Champions)
2.Djibouti Telecom – 8 points
3. Wolwalo AU – 7 points
4. Republican Guard – 3 points
5. Dire Selection – 0 points
