Wolkite Ketema will face Bul FC of Uganda in the inaugural Amhara Bank Tana Cup final on the coming Saturday.
In the early kickoff that exhibited a very lively contest Bul FC edged Dire Dawa Ketema to reach the final, Yosef Yohannes converted from the spot to give Dire the lead at the stroke of half time.
But Bul FC equalized two minutes into the second half through Simon Peter Oketch and went on to score the winning goal in the 77th minute via Karim Ndugwa while Regan Kalywa of Bul FC was named man of the match.
In the other semi final encounter, Wolkite Ketema beat Gadaffi Modern FC 1-0 to book their place in the final, Temesgen Bejerond’s 60th minute strike separated the two sides.
The ex-Ethiopian national team midfielder Asrat Megersa was named man of the match after his impressive display in the middle of the park.
Wolkite Ketema and Bul FC will battle it out for the prestigious prize on the coming Saturday at the Bahirdar Stadium.
