The premier league is back in action with wins for Adama Ketema and Hadiya Hossana.
In what was the very first fixture of the Adama bubble Adama Ketema side playing on home soil opened their home stay with a hard fought three points against Mechal thanks to their flying young guns.
In the first half Adama Ketema had a greater share of the ball but failed to capitalize meanwhile Mechal who opted for more directness were by far threatening going forward.
In the second half Adama Ketema came back stronger and opened the scoring in the 60th minute through Yosef Tarekegn and on the 72nd minute they added another via Biniyam Ayten.
But in a late twist Mechal scored twice in quick succession to restore parity, Samuel Saliso pulled one back in the 86th minute while Girma Disasa netted another in the 87th minute to send the home crowd into panic mood.
But Adama’s man of the moment Yosef Tarekegn back in the squad after receiving his first senior national team call up once again was the hero for Adama Ketema netting the wining goal in the added minutes.
Adama Ketema are slowly climbing up the log currently residing 6th with 24 points while Mechal who were enjoying a purple patch before the league was paused are 7th with 23 points.
In the late kickoff Hadiya Hossana returned to wining ways to the relief of their head coach Yared Gemechu as his side claim all the three points after seven failed attempts, his side edge Sidama Bunna 1-0 courtsey to a first half goal directly from free kick by Baye Gezahege proved to be the difference.
The win lifted Hadiya Hossana into 5th spot with 24 points while
Sidama Bunna who seem to find rhythm with two wins in a row in their quest for avoiding the drop are stumbling with back to back losses saw them remain 13th with 19 points.
