The last day actions of Game week 17 saw Kidus Giorgis take advantage as the two sides from chasing pack played out a one all draw while Adama Ketema registered their 11th draw of the campaign.
The eagerly anticipated early kickoff between Hawassa Ketema and Wolaita Dicha who were residing 2nd & 3rd in the log ended in a draw in what was a dramatic finale.
Wondemage Hailu opened the scoring for Hawassa in a very cagey first half but the second half saw resurgent Wolaita Dicha being superior while Hawassa Ketema played negative to protect the lead.
Wolaita Dicha’s Endris Seid was sent off in the dying minutes making things difficult for them but Anteneh Gugsa’s 90th minute headed goal sent Wolaita Dicha fans to jubilation mode.
Following the draw, Wolaita Dicha are still 2nd with 32 points while Hawassa are 3rd with 31 points.
In the late kickoff, Adama Ketema and Jimma Aba Jiffare also finished their match in a one all draw.
Adnan Reshad was on the score sheet for Jimma in the 17th minute but Adama levelled matters in the 38th minute through Ame Mohammed.
Adama backed by their fans who once again turned out in numbers failed to win yet again finishing the match in a draw, they now rank 1st for most draws with 11 points collected on the way.
Adama are now 7th with 23 points while Jimma Aba Jiffare now with 12 points leapfrogging Sebeta Ketema to the bottom of the log.
