The second day action of game week 12 saw Ethiopia Nigd Bank maintaining their spot at the summit while Adama Ketema earned a much needed three point in what was a five goals thriller against Hawassa Ketema.
Early on in what was the clash of the week Ethiopia Nigd Bank came from behind to edge Bahir Dar Ketema to reclaim their spot at the summit of the log.
Alelegne Azene converted from the spot to give Bahir Dar the early lead, but last season’s wonder Biniyam Getachew who is yet to find his scoring boots from last season netted his second goal of the campaign in the 27th minute.
After the restart, it was all about Ethiopia Nigd Bank as they eventually found the winning goal through the rejuvenated Addis Gidey on the 73rd minute.
Ethiopia Nigd Bank are ranked 1st with 29 points while Bahir Dar are 5th 10 points apart from the league leaders.
Later on in what was a game of goal fest Adama Ketema who were in deep trouble just find a breather as they cruise to a 3-2 victory over Hawassa Ketema.
It was Hawassa who strike first as their Eritrean import Ali Suleiman was once again on target but Adama strike back two minutes later through Yosef Tarekenge.
After the restart, Yosef Tarekenge was once again in the score sheet but it took Hawassa Ketema seven minutes to capitalize through Eyob Alemayehu.
The thrilling contest was settled in the 62nd minute as Bona Ali was the hero for Adama as his strike was the difference between the two sides handing Adama their first win after five attempts.
The win elevated Adama into 6th place with 18 points while it was back to the drawing board for Hawassa Ketema & Zeray Mulu currently 11th with 12 points.
