Third day action of game week 14 saw Mechal claiming top spot with a win over Sidama while Bahir Dar’s slump continues.
In the early kickoff of defensive blunders Mechal who had a chance to claim top spot with a victory over Sidama Bunna did so with a 2-1 victory.
Minyelu Wondimu gave Mechal the edge seconds before half time from the spot while an own goal from Mechal’s skipper Mintesnot Adane levelled matters in the 59th minute.
But eventually Mechal find a wining goal from Abebayehu Yohannes’s own goal in the 73rd minute.
The three points lifted them into the summit of the log with 30 points while Sidama winless in their last two outings are 9th with 15 points.
In the late kickoff, Adama made it two wins in two as they edge title hopefuls Bahir Dar Ketema 2-1.
It was Adama who strike first through Bona Ali in the 22nd minute but the wave of tana were quick to react netting the equalizer in the 25th minute via Habtamu Tadesse.
Last week hero Yosef Tarekenge once again stole the show for Adama Ketema as he netted a 74th minute match wining goal after successfully converting from the spot.
Thw win meant Adama are 5th with 21 points following recent resurgence in form while Bahir Dar Ketema who are in a deep trouble slide into 8th place.
