Hawassa Ketema and Hadiya Hossana played out a one all draw while Dire Dawa Ketema wrap the round with a victory in the last day action of round one.
Early on today goals in the first half canceled each other out as Hadiya Hossana and Hawassa Ketema played out a one all draw.
As always it was Hadiya Hossana who strike first as Melese Meshamo’s acrobatic strike gave them the early lead but Hawassa Ketema levelled matters in the 36th minute through Tsegab Yohannes.
The draw left Hadiya Hossana 9th with 19 points, surprisingly 10 of the 19 points are from draws while Hawassa finished the round 11th with 19 points also.
In what was the last match of round one Charles Musige’s strike made it a happy ending for Dire Dawa as they edge Wolkite Ketema 1-0.
In what was a very frustrating game Ugandan import Charles Musige got the all important goal for his side in the 30th minute.
The win saw Dire Dawa Ketema climbing into 10th place with 19 points going into the second round which is set to take place in 10 days at their back yard while Wolkite who are struggling at the moment end the round in 14th place with 10 points two points away from safety.
