Second day action of game week 22 saw Wolaita Dicha and Dire Dawa claiming the all important three points.
In the 4pm kickoff Carlos Damtew once again proved to be the diffrence maker as his side wrap their home stay with a win over Shashemene Ketema.
In what was the very last match of the season for Dire Dawa Ketema in their own back yard Carlos Damtew’s sublime long range shoot in his weak foot saw Dire Dawa Ketema wining aginst Shashemene Ketema who welcomed their head coach after weeks of touch line ban.
The win meant Dire Dawa rise into 8th place with 33 points while Shashemene Ketema remain 15th with 13 points.
In the late kickoff Wolaita Dicha who had a very dreadful spell in Dire conclude their stay with a bang as they edge holders Kidus Giorgis.
The match witnessed a contrasting two halves where Kidus Giorgis were in total control in the first half while Wolaita Dicha had their say in the second half.
In the first half Kidus Giorgis created so many chances but failed to convert while Dicha had a very comprehensive spell in the the last 20 minutes.
In the 79th minute Zelalem Abate finished off a breathtaking counter attacking move to give his side the all important three pointa after a wait of 9 games meaning they now are on 11th spot in the log with 28 points while Kidus Giorgis missed on their opportunity to maintain their pressure on the leaders sitting 3rd with 39 points.
