Ethiopia Bunna
Ethiopia Bunna completed the signings of 6 players from the ongoing National League tournament. The club signed Debube Police trio Habtamu Tilahun, Misganaw WeldeYohannes and Eshetu Endris. Eyasu Tamiru of Halaba Kenema, National Cement’s Thomas Eshetu and Sadik Secho of Share Ethiopia completed the list.
Ethiopia Bunna’s general Manager Mr. Gezaghen Weldu told Soccer Ethiopia that the above mentioned players signed a 3 upto 4 years contract with a deal that worth less than the current Ethiopian transfer window market value.
Hawasssa Kenema
Two times Ethiopian Premier League champions Hawassa Kenema agreed to sign 2 players from the National League. Hawassa’s head coach Webetu Abate was in Dire Dawa to recruit players from the competition. The club agreed to sign Jimma Kenema’s duo Melaku Welde, who happens to be Jimma’s captain, and center back Haymanot Worku.
Kidus Giorgis
Ethiopian Premier League reigning champions Kidus Giorgis verbally agreed to sign Arsi Negele’s goalie Ferezer Getahun. The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days.
Mekelakeya
The gigantic Arsi Negele center forward Carols Dametew agreed to join Geberemedhin Haile’s Mekelakeya. The striker will earn 500,000 Birr in two years. Carols will sign the deal most likey tomorrow.
Mekelakeya also signed three players from the ongoing National League.
Wolaita Dicha
The club lost its crucial players during the transfer window. Lack of fund impaired the Sodo club from signing players that plays in the Premier league. Dicha signed 2 players, Midfielder Amanuel Teshome form AA Kenema and defender Thomas Simeret from Sululta Kenema are the players who will join Dicha for next season.
Dedebit
On this year’s transfer window Dedebit didn’t make a major acquisition. The Blue Army’s opted to sign players from National League. The club also appointed a new head coach which will be officially unveiled tomorrow at Ethiopia Hotel.
Dashen Bira
The club from Gondar yet again was active in the transfer window. Given the financial strength of the club it signed 7 new players from the premier league. Dashen also agreed to sign Amhara Water Work’s Yared Baye and Share Ethiopia’s Kidane Tesfaye. Dashen agreed to sign Dire Dawa Kenema’s Yehun Endeshawe. Although Yehun may stay at Dire, if Dire Dawa achieved promotion back to the premier league.
Dashen started its pre-season preparation today camping at Debere Ziet. The club called two foreign players for a trail.
Ethiopia Nigd Bank
Bank has been an active participant of the transfer window. Albeit the club head coach Tsegaye Kidanemariam speaking to Soccer Ethiopia said he failed to sign 2 players from the national league because they are under contract with their respective clubs.
Mugher Cement
Mugher’s head coach Girma Habteyohannes was in Dire Dawa to recruit players from the national league. The club relegated last season from the premier league. So far the club didn’t sign players but club officials are confident that they would bring players from the national league in the coming days.
