Game week three of Betking Ethiopian Premier League kicked off today as Hawassa Ketema and Wolaita Dicha got away with a narrow win.
The 3 pm kick off was a local derby between Hawassa Ketema and Sidama Bunna, Hawassa Ketema came out on top in the “Rodwa Derby”.
Ephrem Ashamo opened the scoring for Hawassa in the 4th minute but the man in form Yigezu Bogale spot kick restored parity for Sidama Bunna, but Biruk Beyene’s strike in the 80th minute handed Hawassa Ketema the much needed three points after a frustrating loss to Wolaita Dicha in last game week.
The late kick off saw Ultra defensive Wolaita Dicha stun Adama Ketema courtesy of an awkward goal from Yared Dawit deep into the second half.
Wolaita Dicha registered their second win in a row after they lost their opening weekend encounter to Diredawa Ketema in an unlikely fashion.
