Game week five kicked off with two fixtures ending in a draw, as once again disciplinary issues were in the spotlight with four red cards being given.
The early kick off saw Hawassa Ketema and Hadiya Hossana, two sides who were in desperate need of three points played out a goalless draw.
Hawassa Ketema had a couple of clear cut chances but Mesfin Tafesse failed to find the back of the net.
Ex Hossana player Tsegasew Demamu now plying his trade for Hawassa was shown a straight red card in the second half for a horrible challenge on Tsegaye Abera.
Hadiya Hossana yet to win this season reside 14th as Hawassa are 6th with 7 points.
The late kickoff between Fasil Kenema and Arbamich ended in a one all draw, with three penalty kicks and three red cards being the major talking points of the game.
Yared Bayeh who scored the opening goal for Fasil Kenema was later sent off for a handball in process of Arbamich’s second penalty kick which was converted by Eric Kapayeto after an earlier kick was missed by the skipper Workyetadese Abebe.
Habtamu Tekeste was shown a straight red card while Arbaminch Ketema’s Ashenafi Fida was also given a second yellow card for the penalty incident leading to Yared’s goal.
Fasil Kenema are still at the summit of the table with 10 points while Arbaminch are 3rd with 8 points.
