Last day actions before the international break saw Bahirdar losing yet again while also Wolkite gave away their lead.
The early kickoff saw Bahirdar Ketema yet again suffering a defeat, this time at the hands of Sidama Bunna.
Bahirdar Ketema coming back from winning Adama Ketema were very bold from the onset as they pressed high and want to dominate the game, but Sidama did well in the early minutes to live up to the pressure and then started to assert themselves more in the game scoring twice before half time.
GitGat Gut and Yigezu Bogale were on target for Sidama but Bahirdar with a sense of all or nothing started the second half with all attack and got one back through Ali Sulieman.
But Habtamu Gezahege scored the third goal minutes after Bahirdar pull one back to kill their momentum.
Following the 3-1 victory Sidama are now on 40 points sitting 3rd while the biggest underachievers so far Bahirdar Ketema dropped into the 12th spot.
In the lunchtime kickoff, Wolkite Ketema for the third game running gave away the lead in the last minutes to share points with Hadiya Hossana.
Wolkite who switched to a back three for the very first time this season where one goal up after Getaneh Kebede nicely controlled and converted from a spot on long ball from Dagim Nigguse.
Hadiya were the superior of the two for the large part of the game and had three chances denied by the posts but eventually went on to score a late equalizing goal through Tesfaye Alebachew in the added minutes.
Meanwhile, the late kickoff between Mekelakeya and Diredawa also ended in a stalemate.
After the conclusion of the game week, 25 Mekelakeya are 8th with 31 points as Diredawa Ketema slipped to 13th position with 29 points.
