Third day action of game week 11 saw Ethiopia Nigd Bank bounce back from their first loss of the campaign in style while Mechal maintained their early pressure for the summit.
In the 3 pm kickoff, Mechal continued to apply the pressure on league leaders by cruising past Dire Dawa Ketema, In what was a very comfortable afternoon for Mechal Kenean Markneh, Behaiylu Girma and Ibrahim Mohammed were on the score sheet for Mechal while Surafel Getachew netted the conciliation goal for Dire Dawa.
Meanwhile in the 6 pm kickoff Ethiopia Nigd Bank came from a goal behind to thrash Ethiopia Medhin 4-1.
Mohammed Abera gave Ethiopia Medhin the early lead but Ethiopia Niged Bank came out stronger in the second half and went on to score four times reverting the scoreline.
Fetudin Jemal was the hero for Niged Bank as he scored the galvanizing goal early in the second half and also went on to score the second goal that turned the momentum while later on Addis Gidey and Biniyam Getachew the remaining goals for Ethiopia Niged Bank.
Following today’s results Ethiopia Niged Bank are still on top of the table with 26 points after 11 games while Mechal are second marginally level on points with Niged Bank but with a lower goal difference.
