The opening day fixture of game week 19 saw Bahir Dar punish sloppy Ethiopia Bunna while Adama Ketema are back to winning ways.
In what was the blockbuster fixture of game week 19 Ethiopia Bunna played into Bahir Dar’s hand as they were stunned to back back loss.
Ethiopia Bunna had control of the ball but Bahir Dar were very strategic in their approach as they opted to press high while Ethiopia Bunna tried to build from the back, and their strategy paid dividends.
Mujib Kassim and Habtamu Tadesse gave their side a 2-0 lead going into halftime as Yabisra Tesfaye and Fire Solomon put them through respectively after Bahir Dar regained possession higher up the pitch.
In the second half Anteneh Tefera gave Ethiopia Bunna a glimmer of hope but Cherent Gugsa who is flying high at the moment added another goal for Bahir Dar Ketema to seal the 3-1 victory.
The win meant three wins from their last four league games for Bahir Dar Ketema as they rise into 6th place with 29 points while Ethiopia Bunna remained 5th level on 29 points.
Menawhile in the 7pm kickoff Adama Ketema edge Hambericho 3-0 to return themselves into wining ways.
Goals in each half from Bona Ali and another one from Yosef Tarekegne were enough for Yetagesu Endale and Adama to climb into 7th place with 27 points while struggles Hambericho are still at the tail of the log with just 7 points.
