Ethiopian football giants Kidus Giorgis (Saint George) are continuing their active squad overhaul, securing agreements to sign four new players as they gear up for the upcoming season.
The Horsemen have secured the return of forward Amanuel Erbo. Amanuel, who made a name for himself by helping Legetafo Legedadi gain promotion to the top flight before spending two seasons with Saint George, arrives back at the club following an impressive campaign with Ethiopia Medhin, where he scored nine goals in 26 matches.
Between the posts, Horsemens have completed two-year deals for two new goalkeepers. Biniyam Genetu joins after a five-year spell with Wolaitta Dicha, having already passed his medical tests to seal the move. Joining him is Tsion Meried, who arrives on a two-year contract after a strong individual season with the relegated Arbaminch ketema following past stints at Wolaitta Dicha, Hawassa, and Bahir Dar.
The club is also close to finalizing a two-year deal for full back Tsegaab Gizaw, who returns to his boyhood club after making 37 appearances for Hadiya Hossana last season. However, the move has stirred controversy with Hadiya Hossana protesting the transfer and insisting that Tsegaab must fulfill a remaining year on his contract under the EFF regulations.
