​The Champions Add Foreign Players to Their Squad

​CAF Champions League participants Sidama Bunna have signed a Senegalese goalkeeper and a Ugandan midfielder.

​’The Alitos’ have reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Cheikh Ndoye. The Senegalese goalkeeper previously played for AS Cambérène, Jaraaf, Sonacos, and Renaissance. He also won the Senegalese Ligue 1 and the Senegal Cup titles during his stint with Jaraaf. Additionally, he has featured for his country in various international matches since 2019.

Sidama Bunna have finally secured a deal with Cheikh Ndoye who is considered one of the top goalkeepers in Senegal Ligue 1.

​Ugandan Khalid Aucho has also agreed terms to sign for Sidama Bunna. The defensive midfielder has previously featured for Young Africans, Misr Lel Makkasa, Simba, Gor Mahia, Serbian sides Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd, and most recently Singida Black Stars. The experienced midfielder has earned 78 caps for the Uganda national team, played in two AFCON tournaments, and served as national team captain for several matches.

The Midfielder expected to fill the void left by Yosef Yohannes who leave the club for Fasil Kenema.

​Having won the 2025/26 CBE Ethiopian Premier League title to qualify for continental competition for the first time in their history, Sidama Bunna have been drawn against Chad’s Egles in the first preliminary round. The team has now completed a week of preparations for the upcoming campaign.
