Adama Ketema beat bottom side Hadiya Hossana 2-0 to go one point clear of second placed Kidus Giorgis.
Ashenafi Bekele’s Adama has been the dominant force during the game. Beninese striker Abikyou Shakiru at last broke his goal drought seven minutes after the kick off when he headed home from Souliman Mohammed’s cross.
Hadiya Hossana striking duo Dula Mulatu and Endale Debalke barely troubled the home side’s backline. Shakiru was unlucky to see his goal bound effort hitting the upright in the 36th minute.
Veteran striker Tafesse Tesfaye sealed the win in the 74th minute after collecting a pass from Mikael George to fire Adama to the top. Tesfaye now has 8 goals this season.
Adama Ketema are now top of the league ahead of holders Kidus Giorgis. Giorgis will play Ethiopia Nigd Bank on Sunday in pursuit of reclaiming the top spot. Hadiya Hossana kept dangling in the relegation zone occupying 14th.
