Ethiopian giants Kidus Giorgis managed to progress to the first round of CAF Champions League after they crashed Seychellois champions St. Michel United 4-1 on aggregate in Victoria.
‘The Horsemen’ as they are nicknamed played out a one all draw against St. Michel in the second leg preliminary round encounter. Winger Ramkel Lok struck in the first half as Giorgis extended their lead to 4-0. However, the home side restored parity in the second half to earn a pointless draw as they bow out of the Champions League for the second year straight.
Kidus Giorgis will lock horns against CAF Super Cup and Champions League champions TP Mazembe in March.
