The only fixture of today saw the match between Ethiopia Medhin and Hawassa Ketema ending all square.
Prior to kickoff a minute of silence was observed for the late Alelegne Azene, it took Hawassa only three minutes to take the early lead.
Tebarek Hefamo was on target from the edge of the box after Ali Sulieman’s attempt was denied by Abubeker Nura.
But after the goal it was all Ethiopia Medhin,as they controlled the match with their silky passing football. But Hawassa Ketema hang on to the lead withstanding Ethiopia Medhin’s dynamism in attack.
But Ethiopia Medhin eventually found the deserved equalizing goal in the 37th minute through Wogene Gezahegne.
After the restart it took Ethiopia Medhin a minute to take the lead as Abubeker Sani opened his scoring account for his new side but 12 minutes latter Hawassa Ketema found a way back courtsey to a goalkeeping hauler from Abubeker Nura and well punished by Ali Sulieman.
The remaining minutes of the second half saw a very positive performance from Ethiopia Medhin but once again they failed to bag all the three points speaking for their performance.
The draw meant Ethiopia Medhin’s quest for their third win of the campaign continues for the 11th game running meaning they are still 13th with 15 points while Hawassa Ketema reside 9th place with 26 points.
