Ethiopia women national team coach Birhanu Gizaw has announced his provisional squad of 30 players for the African Women Championship qualifier, which is due in Cameroon in 2016, game against Algeria in Algiers on March 6.
Lucy were reinstated in place of Togo, who pulled out of the qualifier owing to financial difficulties, weeks ago after they were left out of the qualifiers because of Ethiopian Football Federation’s blunder.
Dedebit and Ethiopian U-20 women team star striker Loza Abera made the cut alongside Ethiopia Nigd Bank striking duo Shitaye Sisaye and Rehima Zerega. Ethiopian U-17 women team centre forward Tideg Fisseha has also managed to be included. Ethiopian Women Premier League and Women Super Cup champions Ethiopia Nigd Bank have the lion share in the provisional squad with 11 players.
The team will usher in preparation on February 18.
