Game week two concluded today as Kidus Giorgis battered Ethiopia Bunna in the sheger derby and also Mekelakeya edge past Sebeta Ketema.
The 3 am kickoff saw newly promoted side Mekelakeya get the better out of Sebeta Ketema.
In a match where goal scoring chances were far and few Mekelakeya secured all three points thanks to a second half long range strike from second half substitute Abel Negash to make it two wins in two.
The late kickoff of the day saw the second ever competitive Sheger Derby to be played away from the Capital, Kidus Giorgis who were without their head coach Krampotic cruised to a 4-1 victory against Ethiopia Bunna side bolstered by their returning talisman Abubeker Nasser.
Kidus Giorgis took the lead in a controversial manner, Ismael Oro Agoro slotted home after a fair play ball played by his skipper put him through on goal.
After the restart, Kidus Giorgis added the second one through summer signing Bulcha Shura but Ethiopia Bunna pulled one back via Endale Debalke.
Ethiopia Bunna after pulling one back were building momentum in search of the equalizer but one mistake in the attack lead to a killer blow as Haider Sherfa calm finish once again restored momentum into Kidus Giorgis hand before him putting the tie beyond Bunna’s reach after a successful spot kick.
