Day three action of game week 20 saw Adama Ketema draw another blank as the dismal run continues while Dire left bitterly disappointed as they gave away a late goal to drop points.
The early kickoff between Addis Ababa Ketema and Adama Ketema ended in a frustrating goalless draw.
Addis Ababa head coach Demisew Fekadu left their talisman Fitsum Tilahun on the bench giving the promising youngster Mohammed Abera a rare start, while Adama went to their familiar 4-3-3 formation with Yosef Yohanes, Yonas Geremew, and Ame Mohammed all returning to the starting line up.
In a match where chances were far and few both sides seemed desperate for the three points as their offensive play lacked proper conviction.
Following the draw, Addis Ababa remain 14th with 20 points while Adama temporarily moved to 9th with 25 points.
In the late kickoff, Diredawa Ketema were leading Wolkite for almost 78 minutes courtesy to Henock Ayele’s strike in the early minutes, but they opted to sit deep to defend their one goal cushion and then they eventually concede a soft penalty in the 82nd minute which was converted by Getaneh Kebede.
Following the draw, both sides’ status in the log remained where they left off as Dire ranked 13th while Wolkite are 11th.
