Last day action of round one saw Kidus Giorgis reclaiming top spot while Bahir Dar Ketema were held yet again.
In the early kickoff league’s top scorer Ismael Oro-Agoro’s late strike meant Kidus Giorgis finish round one as league leaders with 32 points edging Dire Dawa Ketema 2-1.
The first half was more or less very quiet but the second half was more intense as both sides battel it out for all three points. Abel Yalew put the horsemen ahead in the 56th minute but Biniyam Getachew came to Dire’s rescue in the 61st minute. As the game was approaching its conclusion the Togolese forward Ismael Oro-Agoro netted his 15th goal of the campaign to hand his side a hard fought three points.
Meanwhile nothing to separate Bahir Dar Ketema and Wolaita Dich as their match in the flood light ended in a frustrating goalless draw.
Bahir Dar after back to back draws have been cut five points adrift from league leaders sitting 3rd with 27 points while Wolaita Dicha moved into 7th place with 21 points.
