Match Day 19 of the BetKing Ethiopian Premier League started with games that took place today.
Hawassa Ketema continued their winning run by beating Wolkite Ketema in a five goal thriller to edge closer to the top three sides. The clash between the sides that share a last name, Ethiopia Bunna and Sidama Bunna , ended in a goalless stalemate.
Samuel Asferi scored two own goals and Mujib Kasim added the other as Hawassa sealed a 3-2 win against Wolkite. Bizuayehu Seifu and Getaneh Kebede got the goals that can only narrow the gap in the score. Following the win Hawassa are now in fourth place with 31 points.
The second game displayed many chances but less quality ones. Either side failed to make a notable impact on the final third and can only settle for a point. Ethiopia Bunna are 5th with 26 points and Sidama Bunna who also took a point from St. George are 14th with 21 points.
