Match Day 20 of the Ethiopian Higher League took place from Monday to Wednesday across three towns.
Group A
Leaders Ethiopia Nigid Bank beat Sebeta Ketema 2-0 to solidify their place at the top. Kirubel Wondimu and Abel Habtamu got the goals for their team. Bench Maji Bunna also won 2-0 against Butajira Ketema thanks to goals from Ephrem Tamiru and Zelalem Beyene and are only a point behind first place.
In the other games, Gamo Chencha beat Battu Ketema 2-0, Akaki Kaliti lost 0-1 to Durame Ketema, Sendafa Beke lost 1-3 to Woldia Ketema who are in their place, Addis Ketema Kifle Ketema and Jimma Aba Bunna drew 2-2 while Halaba Ketema beat Wollo Kombolcha 1-0.
Group B
Group leaders Shashemene Ketema won 2-0 against Yirgachefe Bunna and are on course for promotion to BetKing Ethiopian Premier League as they have a 12 point advantage with 6 games to go until the end of the season.
The rest of the fixtures in the group saw Kirkos lose 1-2 to Boditi Ketema, Jinka Ketema won 2-0 against Nekemte Ketema, Injibara beat Kembata Shinshicho 1-0, Semien Shewa Debrebirhan and Addis Ababa Ketema drew 0-0.
The games on Tuesday saw Kefa Bunna beat Nib 1-0 while Gulele Kifle Ketema lost 1-3 to Ambo Ketema.
Group C
Gelan Ketema got a 2-0 win against Kolfe Keranio Kifle Ketema. Webeshet Alemayehu scored an own goal while Beyene Banja scored the other one for Gelan. Hambericho Durame could only muster a draw against Sodo Ketema and now sit in second place level on points with Gelan but behind on goal difference.
In the other games Damot and Burayu Ketema drew 0-0, Negele Arsi lost 0-1 to Dessie Ketema while Yeka Kifle Ketema also lost by the same score line to Jimma Aba Jifar. Robe Ketema and Federal Police drew 1-1.
