Bahir Dar Ketema have reached agreements with four new players, raising the total number of their recent signings to six.
Versatile star Asrat Tunjo has finalized terms with Bahir Dar Ketema after several days of smooth negotiations. Asrat spent the past two seasons with Diredawa Ketema. Prior to his stint with the Oranges, he featured for Jimma Aba Jifar following an impressive six-year tenure at Ethiopia Bunna. He has also been a regular fixture for the Ethiopian national team over the years.
Ugandan striker Charles Musiige is set to join Bahir Dar Ketema. Musiige, who has played in Ethiopia for the last five years first came to prominence in Ethiopian football during the Tana Cup hosted in Ethiopia, where he delivered standout performances for Ugandan side Modern Gaddafi. He subsequently signed for Diredawa Ketema, spending four seasons there before turning out for Mechal last season.
Winger Biruk Mulugeta has joined the waves of Tana. Biruk’s career includes spells with Kolfe Keranio, Ethiopia Medhin, and Mekelle 70 Enderta. After spending the past season back with Ethiopia Medhin, he has chosen Bahir Dar Ketema as his next destination.
Promising young left-back Yodahe Dawit is another addition to the Bahir Dar squad. After developing through mechal’s youth ranks and representing the Ethiopian U-17 and U-20 national teams, Yodahe spent the last two seasons playing for Mechal’s senior squad.
These four new arrivals join veteran Shimeles Bekele and forward Kitika Jima, who had previously agreed to join Bahir Dar Ketema as the club continues to rebuild and bolster its squad for the new campaign.
