Young Ethiopian-descent winger Kaleab Meron has officially completed a move to Welsh side Swansea City shortly after parting ways with Arsenal.
The 16 year old twin brothers Kaleab and Yabsera Meron previously drew significant attention across English youth football through their impressive performances in Arsenal’s Hale End academy and call-ups to England youth setups. Their departure from the London outfit comes after a dedicated nine-year development stint, having first joined the Gunners at seven years old.
During their time in North London, both brothers featured prominently across Arsenal’s academy age groups, notably helping the squad capture the National Cup during the 2022/23 campaign.
Following their departure from Arsenal, the brothers have embarked on distinct new development paths. Yabsera, a versatile left-footed player capable of operating as a full-back or winger, recently joined the FC Bayern World Squad program, an elite global initiative that selects top U19 talent to train under European coaches and compete against international academy teams. Meanwhile, Kaleab, a left-footed right winger who can also operate in attacking midfield has officially put pen to paper with Swansea City as he continues his pathway toward professional senior football.
