Tanzanian outfit Young Africans Princesses have officially unveiled the signing of Ethiopian international forward Mesay Temesgen, finalizing a deal that Soccer Ethiopia previously reported was on the verge of completion.
The versatile attacker joins the Dar es Salaam based club leaving Ethiopian Nigd Bank (CBE), after putting pen to paper on a one year contract.
Developed at the Ethiopian Sport Academy, Mesay has enjoyed impactful domestic spells with Ethio Electric, Mechal, and CBE. She has represented the Ethiopian women’s national team across all youth levels and the senior squad.
Mesay joins national teammate Aregash Kalsa at Yanga Princesses, while fellow Ethiopian star Senaf Wakuma currently features for crosstown rivals Simba Queens.
Following Ariet Odong, Nybuony Yien, Aregash Kalsa and Senaf Wakuma, Mesay becomes the fifth Ethiopian player to head to the Tanzanian Premier League and the fourth to suit up for Yanga Princesses.
