Welwalo Adigrat University have continued their active run in the transfer window after agreeing to terms with two additional players.
Striker Carlos Damtew has agreed to join the Yellows, marking a return to his former club following a strong two-year stint with Wolaita Dicha. The imposing forward, whose career includes spells at Negele Arsi, Mechal, Dire Dawa, Ethio Electric, Legetafo Legedadi, and Wolaitta Dicha, previously featured for Welwalo in 2019/20 season.
Center-back Bereket Samuel is the second player to seal a move to the club. Bereket made his top-flight debut in 2015 after signing for Muger Cement, subsequently playing for Sebeta and Diredawa before spending the last four seasons at Hawassa Ketema.
Welwalo are aggressively reshaping their squad under head coach Girma Taddese ahead of their upcoming domestic and continental campaigns. These two acquisitions follow the recent agreement to sign Eyob Alemayehu.
