Wolaitta Dicha have agreed terms to sign Senegalese center-back Adama Wade, Soccer Ethiopia can confirm.
Wade arrives as part of head coach Mesay Teferi’s ongoing squad rebuild. The move comes right on the heels of the Tona Bees securing midfielder Bereket Wolde just yesterday as they prepare for the upcoming campaign. Wade was agreed to join Ivorian side Yamoussoukro just three weeks ago before pivoting to the Ethiopian top flight
Standing at 1.94 meters, Wade began his top-flight career with Dakar Sacré-Cœur before moving to Turkey with Ümraniyespor and FC Lokomotiv Tbilisi in Georgia. He later returned home to feature for Guédiawaye, Sacré-Cœur, and ASC Diaraf.
Wade becomes the latest West African addition to the squad following last season’s mid-year intake of goalkeeper Khadime N’Diaye, midfielder Okojepa Augustine, and winger Salifu Ibrahim, all of whom enjoyed successful half-season campaigns with the club.
