Current Ethiopian Premier League champions Sidama Bunna have extended the contracts of two promising homegrown players who have successfully established themselves in the club’s senior team over the past two seasons.
Sources have confirmed to Soccer Ethiopia that winger Aschalew Muse and midfielder Melaku Asefa have each agreed to sign new two-year contracts with the champions.
Both players promoted from Sidama Bunna’s youth team and have made impressive strides since earning promotion to the first team. Their consistent performances over the past two seasons have seen them become regular starters and key members of the squad.

Sidama Bunna are actively strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season as they prepare to defend their Ethiopian Premier League title and make their historic debut in the CAF Champions League. Alongside recruiting new signings the club is also prioritizing contract extensions for key members of its existing squad.
