Hawassa Bolster Squad with Three More Additions

The Lakers have continued their transfer window activity by securing three additional players to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Kalkidan Zelalem has agreed terms to join Hawassa Ketema. Having risen through the youth ranks at Ethiopia Bunna, Kalkidan continued his career with Dedebit, Sebeta, Wolaitta Dicha, and Fasil Kenema. Now joins Hawassa to lead the lakers front line.

Midfielder Redwan Nassir makes the cross town switch to join The Lakers after departing rival side Sidama Bunna. Redwan began his footballing journey in Addis Ababa’s U-20 setup before breaking into their senior team. He later moved to Ethiopia Bunna where he played alongside his brother Abubeker Nassir. Having spent the last two seasons at Sidama Bunna where he lifted the Premier League title. Redwan now crosses the city to begin a new chapter with Hawassa.

Desta Yohannes has returned to his boyhood club after six seasons. A product of Hawassa’s youth system, Desta previously captained the senior team before moving on to enjoy spells with Mechal, Sidama Bunna, Adama Ketema and most recently Mekelle 70 Enderta last season.

These three additions build on Hawassa’s earlier summer transfer activity following previously secured deals for Biruk Beyene, Mussie Kebela and Kaleab Wubshet.
