Senaf Wakuma Seals Move to Tanzanian Giants Simba Queens

Ethiopian international striker Senaf Wakuma has officially completed her transfer to Tanzanian heavyweights Simba Queens.

The move marks the resolution of a long-standing pursuit. Senaf was on the verge of joining the Dar es Salaam outfit last season, but the deal collapsed at the final hour due to a registration deadline delay. Following renewed negotiations both parties have finally reached an agreement.

Senaf arrives in Tanzania with a stellar domestic pedigree in Ethiopian women’s football. Notably she finished as the top scorer in both the 2024/25 Ethiopian Women’s Premier League and the 2024 CECAFA Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.

Developed at the Tirunesh Dibaba Training Center, she went on to feature for elite top-flight clubs including Adama Ketema, Mechal, and CBE. She spent the recently concluded season back with Mechal.

A constant presence in Ethiopia’s national team setups from youth levels to the senior squad over the last decade, Senaf brings invaluable continental experience, having repeatedly starred in regional competitions.

Simba Queens have been actively seeking a proven goal-threat to reinforce their attacking unit for domestic title battles and the regional CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers. Senaf’s clinical finishing and movement inside the box make her an ideal fit for the Tanzanian side’s ambitious campaign.
