Negele Arsi have continued their active transfer campaign by securing the signature of versatile attacker Jamil Yakob while extending the contract of Idrissu Abdulahi.
Yakob arrives in Negele Arsi on a two year deal following an impressive individual campaign with Diredawa Ketema. Known for his pace and direct style of play on the wing, the versatile fullback earned his first call-up to the Ethiopian national team last March for friendly matches against Malawi. His career features spells with Jimma Aba Buna, Jimma Aba Jifar, Adama Ketema and most recently Diredawa Ketema.
Ghanaian goalkeeper Idrissu Abdulahi will remain with the Ostriches after committing his future to the club. Following a tenure with Tanzanian side Azam FC and a stint in Ethiopian football with Ethio Electric, Abdulahi joined Negele Arsi and enjoyed a highly successful campaign over the past year.
