The surprise package of the 2025/26 league season Negele Arsi has secured two new signings while tying down one of its key attackers to a new contract.
Mohammednur Nasir has agreed to become the first new addition for the Ostriches. The former Ethiopia Medhin, Jimma Aba Jifar and Ethiopia Bunna player spent last season with Diredawa Ketema, where he worked his way back to top form after recovering from a lengthy injury layoff.
Joining him as the club’s second summer signing is Yared Biruk. After progressing through Hawassa Ketema’s youth setup and delivering a standout campaign for the senior team last season, the young playmaker has agreed to make the switch to Negele Arsi.
Alongside these new additions Negele Arsi has strengthened its core by extending the contract of winger Habib Kemal. The former Ethio Electric, Arba Minch, Ethiopia Medhin, and Diredawa Ketema attacker enjoyed a highly productive campaign featuring in 32 matches throughout the season.
These latest moves follow the club’s earlier decision this summer to retain head coach Tulu Desta, as well as renew the contracts of key figures Rohobot Selalo, Dawit Tefera, and Alegnta Markos.
