Game week 9 kicked off today with a victory for leaders Fasil Kenema and Diredawa Ketema, two goals from the spot kick deciding both fixtures.
The first encounter of Game week 9 was between Fasil Kenema and Meklakeya, Fasil’s skipper Yared Bayeh successful spot kick in the 49th minute was enough to hand the leaders the vital three points.
Fasil Ketema were pretty much in control of the game but failed to convert their chances meanwhile Meklakeya were a bit cautious in their offensive play as they heavily relied on long balls and error from Fasil Kenema players to create chances.
Fasil Ketema now with 18 points cemented their status at the summit of the table going into the AFCON break.
The late kick off saw Diredawa Ketema returning to winning ways courtesy of Muhedin Mussa successful spot kick in the 13th minute.
The goalie Daniel Teshome was in charge of Addis Ababa Ketema as the club was without their coaching staff for a Covid-19 related issue.
Diredawa Ketema were by far the second best side in the encounter as their opponent pushed them back following the sent of their goalkeeper Wakene Adunga deep in the first half.
Diredawa Ketema are now level on 11 points with Addis Ababa Ketema and residing 9th in the log bettering them on goal difference.
