Coach Yohannes Sahle Calls Up 39 Players for AFCON 2027 Qualifiers

Ethiopia national team head coach Yohannes Sahle has named a 39-man provisional squad as the Walias prepare for their opening two Group 10 fixtures in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

The roster features six players integrated directly from the national U-20 camp, alongside maiden senior call-ups for several new faces including Yared Yemane, Tinsae Markos, Degefe Alemu, Netsanet Gebremedhin, Habtamu Gullilat, and Eyob Gebremariam.

According to the Ethiopian Football Federation, the selected squad members are expected to report to the Jupiter Hotel on Friday, August 8, at 2 PM local time to commence their preparation.
