Wolaitta Dicha’s promising young talent Abenezer Alemayehu is heading to Ukraine.
Starting his career with the Wolaitta Dicha U-17 team, the talented left winger successfully earned a promotion to the senior squad this season. FIFA Agent Dawit Argaw who facilitated the trial and travel arrangements told Soccer Ethiopia that Abenezer will fly to Ukraine at midnight.
He is set for a trial at FC Polissya Zhytomyr. The city of Zhytomyr based club currently competes in the Ukrainian Premier League and sits in third place in the league standings.
Abenezer will undergo a trial period with the club’s U-20 team. If he performs successfully, he will officially sign with the senior Polissya Zhytomyr squad once he turns 18.
He earned this remarkable opportunity following his stellar performances with the Ethiopian U-17 national team, which helped the country return to the continental stage after 22 years, alongside his standout displays at the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Morocco.
