Addis Abeba Football Federation confirmed the 2014/15 Ethiopian Premier League 3rd place winners Adama Kenema accepted the invitation to play in the City Cup.
AAFF vice president Mr. Yonas Hagos stated the Federation asked Adama Kenema and Wolaitta Dicha to take part in the cup. Adama Kenema showed their willingness while AAFF are still waiting for response from EFF Cup semifinalists Wolaitta Dicha.
The tournament will be held from October 3-15. The group draw will be made on either September 29 or 30. The Federation will also announce the sponsorship deal on the same day. Last season’s sponsor was BGI Ethiopia’s brand Castel Beer. It is speculated that this year’s City Cup might be sponsored by another BGI Ethiopia brand Amber Beer. Nevertheless the Federation opted to deny that.
