Dedebit and Diredawa Ketema emerged winners over strugglers Hawassa Ketema and Electric in week 10 of the Ethiopian Premier League game played out in Addis Ababa.
Diredawa Ketema broke their duck to beat Electric 1-0 for the first time in the Capital this season. The Easterners were without a win in Addis since their promotion to the Premier League.
Fikadu Tadesse finished off an excellent pass from ex-Ethiopia Bunna midfielder Dawit Estifanos to give Diredawa all the three points.
Dedebit were too good for Hawassa Ketema deafting them 3-0 in the process. Ex Dedebit defender Daniel Derbie scored an own goal in stroke of the first half. Dawit Fikadu broke his goal drought in a spectacular fashion as his second half brace further plunged Hawassa in to the boiling point.
The win left Dedebit third with 18 points whilst Diredawa placed fourth. Electric are ninth. Meanwhile, Hawassa didn’t have any choice but to stay in the relegation zone with 9 points, four clear of last placed Hadiya Hossana.
